๐ How to Measure: The Tape Method (mm)
Measuring your nails at home is simple and only takes a few minutes! You will need: Clear tape, a fine-tip pen/marker, and a ruler with millimeter (mm) markings.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
-
Apply Tape: Place a piece of clear tape across the widest part of your natural nail, pressing down into the side grooves to ensure it covers the full curve.
-
Mark the Edges: Using your pen, draw a vertical line on the tape at the very edge of your nail on both sides.
-
Measure: Remove the tape and lay it flat against the millimeter side of your ruler.
-
Count the Lines: Count the small millimeter dashes between your two marks. This is your width!
-
Example: 1.5 centimeters = 15mm.
-
-
Record: Repeat for all ten fingers (left and right hands) as sizes can often vary slightly between hands.
- Use the Size Submission page to enter these sizes in mm from thumb to pinky or enter them in the order notes section.
Pro Tips for a Perfect Fit:
-
Don't have a ruler? You can download a "Ruler App" on your phone or print a paper rulerโjust ensure your printer settings are at 100% scale!
-
Measure twice: Itโs better to double-check now than to have a nail that's too small later.
-
When in doubt, size UP: If you are between millimeters (e.g., 12.5mm), always round up to 13mm. You can lightly file the sides of a larger press-on for a custom fit, but a small nail cannot be fixed.
